About Mark Donahue

Mark Donahue is currently in his seventh year teaching in O’Fallon, and sixth as Director of Bands in O’Fallon Community Consolidated School District 90. In District 90, Mr. Donahue teaches the 6th and 8th grade bands. In addition, he teaches and oversees the 5th grade beginning band program and conducts the Symphonic Winds, an auditioned ensemble that meets twice per week.

Mr. Donahue holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Illinois State University, completing his student teaching at O’Fallon Township High School in the spring of 2013 with Dr. Melissa Gustafson-Hinds. Mark completed his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from McKendree University in 2016. He was also a member of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from 2008-2012, serving as Drum Major for his final three seasons.

About Michaela Vaughn

Miki Vaughn

Michaela “Miki” Vaughn is originally from Ider, Alabama where she started playing trumpet in 5th grade. After graduating from Ider High School, she attended the University of South Alabama majoring in Music Education. At USA, she was a member of a number of ensembles such as the USA Jaguar Marching Band and principal trumpet in the USA Wind Ensemble. She was also in the USA Trumpet Ensemble, brass quintet, symphony orchestra, choir, and was selected to perform with the USA Faculty Quintet. After graduating from USA, Mrs. Vaughn was appointed as the Associate Director of Bands at Daphne High School in Daphne, Alabama where she taught for two years. She assisted with the marching band and conducted her own concert band which received Superior ratings at the Alabama Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessment in both years. Mrs. Vaughn is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA), Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA), and the International Trumpet Guild (ITG).  

Mrs. Vaughn lives with her husband, Drew Pritchard, who is a trumpet player in the Air Force Band of Mid-America, her 4 cats, and her new Australian Shepherd puppy, Jayce.




About David Vittetoe

David VittetoeDavid Vittetoe is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. Mr. Vittetoe started playing percussion in the 6th grade. After graduating from Halls High School, he attended the University of Tennessee where he was a member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band, wind ensemble  and jazz band. After college he won an audition with the United States Air Force Regional Bands and served over 20 years as an Airman musician retiring in the rank of Master Sergeant. Mr. Vittetoe studied music education and percussion performance at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and holds a Bachelor Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Liberty University, Virginia.

David has performed professionally all over the country in many ensembles including the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, Oak Ridge Symphony, and the St. Louis Wind Symphony. He retired as a percussionist with the United States Air Force Regional Bands performing as principal percussionist and soloist with the concert band and drummer in many rock and jazz settings. David served in various assignments throughout the United States, including two deployments overseas in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

David teaches privately for O’Fallon Township High School and District 90 bands and is currently a battery technician for O’Fallon Township High School Marching Panthers in O’Fallon, Illinois. He has been an adjudicator for ILMEA auditions for 2 years. In addition to his teaching schedule, he is also an active performer in the Metro St. Louis area with his musical interests ranging from wind symphonies, Scottish pipe bands, Celtic Groups, Latino orchestras, praise and worship, Jazz, Rock and Pop bands. He is currently the drummer for Renacer Latino Orchestra, Tropical Moods, and the Neil Diamond Tribute band “The Traveling Salvation Show”

About OF90 Bands

The junior high school band program falls under one big umbrella for the entire District 90. We have approximately 370 junior high school students and just under 200 fifth grade students.
