The 5th Grade Beginning Band is a program geared toward teaching the fundamentals of playing band instruments and reading music.  The program typically starts in late August with a Registration and Instrument Try-Out Night held at Carriel Jr. High.

This year, the nights are:

August 27th, 28th, 30th and September 4th.

Students have the opportunity to try each instrument and choose which one they would like to play.  One week later, the students return and pick up their instruments, as well as receive their first lesson on how to care for the instrument and play their first notes!
